H & H Specialties
announces the retirement of Mary Louise Higgins, effective February 29,
2008. Mary Louise, widow of founder John H. Higgins, has been President
of H & H since the passing of John Higgins in 1986. Management is now
headed by Reid Neslage, President, a thirty-one year veteran of the
company.
H & H Specialties Inc. celebrates it’s forty-first
anniversary in 2008. After service with the U.S. Army in North Africa
and Italy during World War II, John Higgins came back to Los Angeles and
worked in the theatrical industry in various capacities. In 1967, H & H
Specialties began when he walked into a rented building with two tool
boxes and two thousand dollars borrowed from his mother.
Since that time, the
company has grown into a leading manufacturer of theatrical rigging
equipment and stage curtain tracks. Our products are stocked and
sold through dealers in North America providing local sources for the
supply, installation, and maintenance of theatrical hardware and
